Netanyahu: 'Iran is still building a nuclear bomb'

jerusalem - Tehran does not stick to the Iran deal and is secretly still developing a nuclear bomb. That is what the Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu said during a television speech on Monday evening.

'Iran is lying,' Netanyahu said firmly. After the Iran deal was closed in 2015, the country simply continued its nuclear program, according to the Israeli Prime Minister. He showed two cabinets with binders and CDs that would contain the 'nuclear archive' of Iran. Netanyahu did not tell how Israel got hold of the archive.

The Iranians call their core program Project Amad, according to the Prime Minister. It aims to develop five nuclear warheads with a ten kiloton force that should fit into a rocket. Such warheads would be as powerful as the bomb thrown on the Japanese Hirosjima.

Netanyahu supported his allegations with documents, photographs and animations that he considered to be of Iranian origin. This included simulations of nuclear explosions and maps with possible locations of places in Iran where a nuclear bomb could be tested.

The Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif already responded to Twitter prior to the speech. 'You can not fool people infinitely,' wrote the Iranian foreign minister.
