moscow - Russian opposition leader Aleksej Navalni has to re-imprison. According to his spokesman, a judge sentenced him to imprisonment on Monday by Monday for the repeated breach of the law. He was found guilty of organizing public gatherings and protest marches without permission.

Navalni, 41, was arrested on Friday when he left his house in Moscow to go to an election meeting in Nisjni Novgorod province. In March, the presidential election on the program will be held in March. Sitting leader Vladimir Putin is expecting a new term.

Navalni hopes to be able to participate, although the central electoral council has determined that he can not be a candidate because he has a criminal record.

The sentence can not be the opposition leader himself. "The old man Putin is so afraid of our demonstrations that he has already given himself a gift for his anniversary," he responded via Twitter.
