osaka - An abandoned ship has rammed the bridge to the international airport of Osaka during typhoon Jebi in Japan. The road surface has therefore been moved a few meters, making the important connection impassable.
The typhoon landed on the peninsula of Shikoku in the west of Japan a little after noon local time (5:00 am Dutch time). The storm has completely destroyed public life in a large part of the country. Jebi is one of the heaviest storms this season.
Osaka is the second city in Japan. The international airport is also plagued by flooding. A lot of rain has fallen in a short time.
