sydney - A natural fire drives residents of the Australian state of Victoria out of their homes. They are housed in stadiums and community centers.
The fire is due to the hot and dry weather and started Saturday morning. In the south-west of the state, a lawn caught fire, and the fire quickly got out of hand. Four homes have been hit so far, says a spokesman against Reuters. ' But that number can change. 'Some roads have also been closed as a precaution.
Forest fires are common in Australia. In January hundreds of vacationers had to be evacuated near Sydney because of a forest fire. In 2009, 173 people died in a forest fire in the state of Victoria. Another 400 were injured.
