NASA record: freshest stamp ever
houston - A record that is sharpened every second and that actually can never be broken. NASA has it in hands. The US space agency has ever sent to the farthest stamp. And the performance has been recognized by Guinness World Record, the organization behind the famous record book, NASA reported Tuesday.
It is a stamp of 29 cents from 1991. This is dedicated to the dwarf planet Pluto. The stamp went as luggage with the probe New Horizons, which began in January 2006 on a flight to Pluto. There he flew past after a journey of more than 5 billion kilometers in July 2015.
The probe and the stamp on board are already 441 million kilometers beyond Pluto. With a speed of over 14 kilometers per second, they fly to rocks on the edge of our solar system. And while New Horizons flies by, the record remains becoming a little more firmly in the hands of NASA.
