Mysterious Disease Claims Lives in Democratic Republic of Congo

kinshasa - At least 143 people have died in the past month in the Democratic Republic of Congo due to an unknown disease. The disease has been contained in the Kwango province, southwest of the DRC's capital Kinshasa. The Congolese government has dispatched a medical team to conduct further research, with support from the World Health Organization (WHO).
The disease has so far been limited to Kwango province, prompting concern among residents as a significant number of people seem to be infected. The remote location of the province has made it challenging for the government to deliver sufficient medicines to the affected area.
