

'Municipalities secure private email poor '
- The e-mail systems by municipalities are not protected well enough. So says the magazine Internal Administration Thursday after investigation. Of the fifty municipalities surveyed met only three of the standards: The Hague, Den Bosch and Woerden.
Cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht failed. This allows others to malicious intent on behalf of the municipalities mails with malware and spam control. In 35 municipalities, it is possible to create e-mail addresses so that the mails are forwarded to other addresses. This makes it possible to intercept mails to and from the municipality.
As a demonstration sent Provincial Government a fake mail on behalf of the Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb.
