harare - The 92-year-old Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has threatened a journalist with a punch, because it raised the issue of the possible retirement of the head of state in an interview. Mugabe stressed that he does not intend to hand over power, the British channel Sky News reported Saturday.

" Why a sequel as I am? Should I beat you to the ground to make it clear that I'm still alive? " Said Mugabe, clenching his fist.

Mugabe fourth last month his 92th birthday. He ruled Zimbabwe since independence in 1980, first as prime minister and as president since 1987. Mugabe in 2013 in a controversial poll re-elected for another term of five years.
