More oil fields Brazil for Shell

rio de janeiro - Shell has acquired the rights for the exploration of another four offshore fields in Brazil. With this, the oil and gas company extends its presence to eighteen deep water fields in Brazil.

The fields were acquired in a new auction round by the Brazilian national oil agency. Shell obtained one field on its own and three were obtained in collaboration with Chevron, Petrobras and Petrogral Brasil. Shell becomes the operator of two fields.

Shell has announced an annual global investment of 5 billion to 6 billion dollars up to 2020 in its deepwater activities.
