Mnangagwa, 'the crocodile', not yet returned to Zimbabwe

World November 21, 2017 07:33

johannesburg - The former vice president of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa said on Tuesday that he would not return to his country. He first wants his safety to be guaranteed there. Mnangagwa said that he fled from the country after he heard that there were 'plans to get him out of the way.' \u0026 # X27;

Mnangagwa is considered the possible new leader of the country. He said that a new era is coming for Zimbabwe and that President Robert Mugabe must resign.

Mnangagwa was a loyal supporter of Mugabe and in 2014 became vice president. According to observers, this was done on the side of Mugabes wife Grace Vice President Joice Mujuru. The 93-year-old Mugabe fired Mnangagwa on November 6 with the obvious goal to appoint his 52-year-old wife Grace as the successor.

Although Zimbabweans are eagerly awaiting the official demise of President Robert Mugabe, there is also growing concern that the country with successor Emmerson Mnangagwa will fall from the rain.
