los angeles - A missing man in the United States is set to be reunited with his family after disappearing 25 years ago.

A missing man in the United States is set to be reunited with his family after disappearing 25 years ago. The man was recognized after an article appeared about a mysterious patient in a hospital.

USA Today published the article earlier this year with a headline that read, 'He has been in a hospital in LA for weeks and they have no idea who he is. Can you help?'. Accompanying the article was a photo of the man, believed to be in his sixties, who was reportedly unable to assist in his own identification. Due to privacy concerns, few details could be shared.

The publication prompted a call to the police in Lassen County, California. A woman reportedly recognized her brother who had gone missing in the state in 1999.

A detective from the Los Angeles police then took fingerprints from the patient, confirming his identity as the missing brother. 'The family will soon be reunited,' said the police.
