Missing Antwerp dog found in Amsterdam: 'I can not believe it'

- A dog that had disappeared without a car theft in Antwerp Deurne is right again. The four-legged friend was found Amsterdam, about 150 kilometers away.

Kristin Gemoets wanted to give a note at the pharmacy on Friday, when her car was stolen with her 7-year-old dog Maria. Although the car was later found in Borsbeek, the dog was missing every trace.

Gemoets hung posters everywhere in the neighborhood and shared the disappearance via social media. On Monday night Kristin got the redeeming phone call.

'Last night I got a phone call from someone at the non-profit organization Lost Dogzzz, the Facebook page where Maria was standing,' says Kristin at the Gazet van Antwerpen. In Amsterdam a dog was found that looked very much like Maria.

'I got the chip number afterwards. It is one hundred percent sure my Maria. I can not believe it! 'According to the crazy Kristin.

Tuesday to Kristin to Amsterdam to pick up Maria. How the dog ended up in our capital is not yet clear.

Kristin remarkably enough also received a phone call from a woman who had experienced exactly the same thing. Her car was stolen, with a dog in it, and it was later also found in Amsterdam. 'Maybe there is more behind it than just unfortunate coincidence,' Kristin says.
