santiago - A Chilean miner who has been stuck for 69 days due to the collapse of a mine has every confidence in the successful outcome of the rescue operation in Thailand. The authorities are trying to get a youth football team out of a flooded cave system.

Mario Sepulveda put a heart on the youngsters and their parents in a video on Twitter. 'I have no doubt that the rescue operation will be a success if the government of that country does everything in its power,' said Sepulveda, who wore a red helmet and a safety vest. He wished the families of the children and the authorities 'a lot of power'.

Sepulveda and 32 other miners were stuck for more than two months in 2010 at about 625 meters below ground level. That rescue operation also received a lot of international attention.
