A Lockheed P-3 Orion military aircraft crashed into a mountain in Pohang, South Korea, claiming the lives of all four onboard occupants. The incident occurred just before 2:00 PM local time, sparking a fire on the mountainside.

Rescue Operation and Investigation

Following the crash, forty firefighters were deployed to extinguish the blaze and provide assistance at the scene. The aircraft, used for submarine detection, was reportedly conducting a training flight focusing on takeoff and landing maneuvers. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.

Pohang, located in the southeast of South Korea and home to approximately half a million residents, witnessed the tragic crash of the military plane.
