mexico city, mexico - Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum responds to US President Donald Trump's statement about changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to America Gulf.

Mexico Stands Firm on Gulf of Mexico Name

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum reiterated that the Gulf of Mexico will remain as such, defying Trump's proposal to change it to America Gulf. She emphasized the importance of dialogue and cooperation between Mexico and the US, especially regarding immigration issues.

Sheinbaum announced the formation of a team of 2,610 legal experts and 1,773 officials to support Mexicans facing deportation from the US. She highlighted the economic significance of Mexicans in the US and expressed readiness to discuss various topics such as drug trafficking, arms smuggling, cultural issues, and trade relations.

Sheinbaum's ministers, including the Interior Minister and the Foreign Minister, stated their commitment to assist deported Mexicans and protect their rights, recommending the use of the 'ConsulApp' mobile application for easy access to consulate services.
