- George Young, the older brother of AC / DC founders Angus and Malcolm, died at the age of 70. On his site, the Australian band writes that George Young was the mentor of the group. 'Without his help and support, there had never been an AC / DC.'

Young produced a number of hardrock band albums, founded in the early 1970s and sold over 200 million albums worldwide. Big hits were Highway to Hell and Whole Lotta Rosie. Even George Young with the band The Easybeats had a hit with Friday on my mind and later with the band Flash \u0026 The Pan, which scored well with Hey, St. Peter.

Young, together with Harry Vanda, was a popular producer / composer demo for a long time. For John Paul Young, she wrote the discohit Love is in the air, but they also worked with Meat Loaf.

Vantaa was actually Van den Berg and grew up in Rijswijk before leaving for Australia. The hard rock band has more ties with The Netherlands: Guitarist Angus Young married a Dutch woman and has a house in the Gelderse Aalten.

It is not known where George Young passed away.
