kigali - Four mass graves have been discovered in Rwanda. There are probably buried victims of the genocide in 1994, the BBC reports.

Volunteers from an organization for survivors of the genocide discovered the graves after a tip. A woman had seen at the time how bodies had been dumped. In the area near capital Kigali, about 3000 people disappeared during the genocide. Residents suspect that their bodies may be in the mass graves. So far, about two hundred bodies have been found.

Survivors of the genocide have already taken a pole position at the graves. 'I have information that my parents were killed and dumped in one of these mass graves,' a woman told the Rwandan newspaper The New Times. 'I hope I can identify the clothes they wore when they left. I want to make sure they're here so I can give them a decent funeral. '

During the genocide in Rwanda, 800,000 people died in 100 days. Hutu militias killed Tutsis and moderate Hutus.
