Manchester United Pursuing Bryan Mbeumo Signing Before U.S. Tour

Manchester United is working towards securing the signing of Bryan Mbeumo before their preseason tour in the United States. The club has agreed on a deal surpassing £70 million with Brentford for the Cameroonian forward.

Preseason Tour Plans

Mbeumo has already completed a medical examination and agreed on personal terms in preparation for his move to Old Trafford. The official confirmation of the transfer is anticipated to be made on Sunday or Monday.

Manchester United's preseason tour will include stops in Chicago, New York, and Atlanta, with the team set to play three games across these locations. The squad recently began their preseason with a 0-0 draw against Leeds United in Stockholm.

Summer Signings and Transfer News

If the deal is finalized, Mbeumo will be Manchester United's second significant signing this summer, following the acquisition of Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million. Cunha made his debut for the team in the match against Leeds.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford is unlikely to join the U.S. tour as he is nearing a loan move to Barcelona. Negotiations are ongoing for a deal where Barcelona will cover 100% of Rashford's salary during the loan period.
