Manchester United Pursuing Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike for Attacking Reinforcements

Manchester United have reportedly engaged in preliminary talks with representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike as part of their quest to strengthen their attacking lineup.

Exploring Options Amidst Competition

After missing out on Liam Delap and facing competition for Sporting CP's Viktor Gyökeres, United are considering Ekitike, who netted 15 goals in the Bundesliga last season.

Competition from Rival Clubs

Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal are also monitoring the 22-year-old Frenchman, prompting United to gather information in preparation for a potential offer, with Frankfurt acknowledging their interest.

Additional Pursuits

Furthermore, United continues negotiations with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo, while Tottenham and manager Thomas Frank have shown interest in the 25-year-old forward.

United's pursuit of offensive reinforcements comes as manager Ruben Amorim seeks to address scoring deficiencies from the previous season, with the team registering only 44 goals in the league.

Desire for More Goals

Despite the arrival of Matheus Cunha, Amorim is keen on securing another forward to enhance the team's attacking prowess.
