- Manchester United has initiated talks with RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko, valued between €80-90 million. United eyes Sesko despite interest from Newcastle, considering Ollie Watkins as an alternative.

Manchester United in Talks for Benjamin Sesko Transfer

Manchester United has reportedly reached out to RB Leipzig for a potential transfer deal involving Benjamin Sesko, the 22-year-old Slovenia international.

Financial Demands and Interest

RB Leipzig values Sesko between €80-90 million, a price that United may find too high. Talks are yet to begin formally, but United is hopeful of negotiating a compromise.

Competition and Alternatives

Newcastle United also shows interest in Sesko, but United is confident of securing the deal if it comes to a choice between the two clubs. Additionally, United has shown interest in Ollie Watkins as a more cost-effective option, although Aston Villa has indicated Watkins is not available this season.

Sesko, who joined Leipzig in 2023, has an impressive record of 39 goals in 87 games and is seen as a promising addition to United's squad. His potential arrival could impact Rasmus Højlund's future at the club, with the Danish forward facing competition and possible interest from Napoli and Juventus.
