- Manchester City are in talks with FC Porto to reach a compromise for midfielder Nico Gonzalez's transfer before the deadline.

Manchester City in Talks for Nico Gonzalez Transfer

Manchester City are working on a deal with FC Porto to sign midfielder Nico Gonzalez before the transfer deadline. City is hesitant to meet the €60 million release clause and values Gonzalez at around €40 million. Porto is reluctant to accept a reduced fee due to a significant portion being owed to Barcelona, Gonzalez's former club. Talks between the clubs are ongoing as City aims to finalize the deal before the deadline.

Potential Other Transfers for Manchester City

City is also considering signing Douglas Luiz from Juventus, with talks for an initial loan offer followed by a permanent transfer in the summer. Juventus, however, prefers an outright sale or a mandatory purchase option in the future. Additionally, Chelsea's approach for Nico O'Reilly has been rejected by City, who are open to his departure with a buy-back clause in any potential deal.
