- Manchester City is considering FC Porto's Diogo Costa as a replacement for Ederson amid uncertainties about the goalkeeper's future. Scouts are also eyeing Espanyol's Joan García as a potential option.

Manchester City Eyes Diogo Costa to Replace Ederson

Manchester City is actively monitoring FC Porto's Diogo Costa as a potential successor to goalkeeper Ederson, whose future at the club is uncertain. Ederson was close to a move to the Saudi Pro League last summer, and with more offers expected, City is exploring alternatives.

Scouting New Goalkeeper Options

City's scouts are also keeping a close watch on Espanyol's Joan García, who has a €25 million release clause. The club is prepared to part ways with Ederson if the right offer comes in, with Costa being a primary candidate for the position.

Haaland's Return to Training

Meanwhile, Erling Haaland's return to training has provided a boost to Pep Guardiola's squad. Haaland has been out since March 30 and may not be available for the upcoming matches, including the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on May 17.

City is gearing up for the FIFA Club World Cup in June, with their first game scheduled against Wydad AC on June 18 in Philadelphia.
