Man sucked and died in MRI

mumbai - An Indian man was killed after he had been sucked into an MRI scan in Mumbai.

The 32-year-old man was the space in which the scanning device was run-in with an oxygen cylinder, after an employee had said it was safe. He accompanied a family member who came for research.

The MRI scan should not have been on, but because that was the case, the man was sucked into the machine, Indian media reports.

An MRI scan has an extremely powerful magnet and metal objects (zippers, buttons, medical implants) may not come close to the device.

A doctor and the staff member are arrested on suspicion of death by negligence.
