'Man steals human toes from $ 5,500 at Body Worlds'
upper hutt - A 28-year-old New Zealander stole two toes from an exposition with stuffed human bodies. The toes have now been returned. They would be worth $ 5,500.
That writes the New Zealand Herald. In the past few days, the man had to explain in the courtroom why he stole the toes on 4 May at an exhibition of Body Worlds Vital in Auckland.
The thief knew immediately. He has been released for the time being and has to appear again in court later this year. Body Worlds was in New Zealand for the first time this year.
The exhibition shows real plastinated human bodies, which have been treated in a special way, so that the dissolution process is counteracted. The company is located in Amsterdam, among other places.
