Man stabs three random passers-by in Amsterdam

amsterdam - Three random passers-by turn out to have been the victim of probably the same perpetrator in Amsterdam on Tuesday evening. All three were stabbed with a knife on the Jan Evertsenstraat. The police have arrested a 32-year-old man and are looking for witnesses.

Around 23. 00 hours the first victim rides on his moped on the Jan Evertsenstraat when out of the blue a man jumps in front of him. The victim must stop because of this.

The man recommends that the victim give his moped to him. When the victim does not do this immediately, he is stabbed. The victim remains wounded on the street.

The suspect then continues and gets off to another moped rider. Again, the man demands that the moped is abandoned and here too he sticks when the order is not immediately followed. This victim drives away and goes directly to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the defendant addressed the driver of a car. He forces the driver to give up his car. When the driver gets out of his car, he is also stabbed by the suspect. The suspect then goes away and leaves the victim behind.

As soon as the report of the incident incident arrives at the control room, the suspect will be watched via camera images. Soon he is seen and he can be followed. Police units are directed to the suspect after which he is arrested in the Witte de Withstraat.

The camera images also show that the suspect throws something away before his arrest. This object, which later turned out to be a knife, was confiscated by the police.

The suspect, a 32-year-old man from Apeldoorn, is stuck. The first and third victims were transferred to hospital for treatment, the second victim went to a hospital on their own. All three are out of danger.
