Man stabs girl (15) dead in city park just across the border near Venlo

viersen - On Monday afternoon a man stabbed a 15-year-old girl in a park in the German town of Viersen, just over the border near Venlo. Not much later the girl died in the hospital.

The perpetrator fled. Later in the day, a suspect reported to the police station.

A witness called the emergency services after the incident. They brought the seriously injured girl to the hospital.

It would be a teenager from Viersen of Romanian origin. She succumbed to her injuries when she was in hospital.

During the search, the police decided to carry out a traffic check. In addition, a 25-year-old man from Turkey escaped.

In the early evening, however, he reported to the police station. He is known to the police and his involvement is being investigated.
