Man linked to Iranian Revolutionary Guard accused of plotting assassination of Trump

new york - The United States has charged a man in connection with an alleged plot to assassinate the recently elected President Donald Trump.
The suspect, named Farhad Shakeri, reportedly informed the FBI that he had been instructed on October 7, 2024, to come up with a plan to assassinate Trump, as stated by the Department of Justice. The murder was supposed to take place before the November 5 vote.
According to the Department, Shakeri is an IRG agent who currently resides in Tehran but had emigrated to the US as a child. He was deported from the US around 2008 following a conviction for robbery.
