paris - The ticket system of Disneyland Paris has been hacked. The hacker, who calls himself Artex, succeeded in cracking the FastPass system. With these tickets, visitors can skip the queues at attractions in the Disney parks. By looking at the QR code, the hacker managed to secure an unlimited number of FastPass tickets.

Hacker Artex discovered that certain admission tickets contain a QR code with a consecutive number. 'I ordered three tickets and found that the first ticket number ended on the number 40, the second on 41 and the third on 42', he tells the French TV channel BFM TV.

The man could generate new QR codes on his smartphone. With these codes he could pick up new tickets. The hack would only work with one type of admission ticket. To prevent abuse, this information has not been disclosed.

The hacker says he does not want to abuse the situation. He would like to warn Disney about the mistake. 'Computer systems are never waterproof', says Disneyland Paris in a reaction according to theme park website Loooping. 'We will therefore continue to implement improvements. '
