Man Finds Wrapped Christmas Gift from 46 Years Ago During Renovation of Parental Home

illinois, usa - A 53-year-old man found an old Christmas gift with his name on it while renovating his parental home.

Tim King discovered the gift behind a wall in the bathroom during the renovation of his parental home, wrapped in now discolored Disney wrapping paper. "I immediately noticed that the wrapping paper was extremely old. When I picked up the package, I saw that my name was written on it," the man told local news outlet KTLA5.

The house was originally built by King's great-grandparents and later expanded by his grandparents. His parents then purchased it and made further additions. "After all the expansions of the house, the gift must have fallen down between the walls," said the 53-year-old man. King estimates that the gift was wrapped in 1978, around 46 years ago when he was six years old.

The gift turned out to be a box of toy airplanes. "I was six years old when I was supposed to receive this gift. I would have loved it," King said. The man opened the gift in the presence of his mother, who could not remember ever buying the toy.

King documented the adventure and shared it with his followers on social media. The video of him opening the gift has been viewed more than 1.6 million times.
