Man bites dog

lantana - A 27-year-old American has been arrested for biting his dog. Patrick Shurod Campbell from Lantana, located in the American state of Florida, said he would have done this to 'dominate' his dog Dimitri.

The police picked him up on suspicion of animal abuse on Thursday. The animal protection has taken care of the dog.

Agents went to Campbell because two roommates had reported that the man had 'horribly abused his dog'.

On Wednesday, dog Dimitri would have smashed various items in Campbell's apartment, including a packet of cigarettes. Campbell had bought another package and showed it to his dog while it was lying on the floor.

When the dog was lying on the floor, Campbell tried to grab Dimitri by the neck to show who was the boss. Then he would have mistreated the dog, according to the housemates.

When officers searched Campbell on Thursday morning, Dimitri was locked up in a bedroom closet without light. When the light was turned on, the dog was shaking anxiously.

The bedroom smelled of piss and shit. The ground was smeared with blood. An ear of Dimitri was bloodied and there was a cut in it.

When officers asked for the bloody ear, Campbell said he had bitten in it. This to show that he is 'dominant'.

The judge put the bail of Campbell Friday at 10,000 dollars. He may no longer have contact with animals.

According to the animal protection, Campbell has voluntarily relinquished the dog. Emergency care is arranged for Dimitri.
