Malaysia intercepted 18 illegal horns value: millions

- The Kuala Lumpur International Airport eighteen poached rhino horn from Africa were seized. The value of the contraband is almost 3 million.
The eighteen horns, which are from Mozambique, weighing over 51 kilograms and had a value of around 2 880 000.
Employees of the Malaysian Customs found the horns after a tip in a hangar at the airport.
There is no one arrested.
Rhinos are in danger of extinction by illegal poaching. In 2014 poachers shot just in South Africa 1 215 rhinos for their horns down, out of a total population of approximately 25 000.
Crushed a rhinoceros horn is especially in Asian countries such as Vietnam and China because of the popular belief that it has a medicinal effect. It would include work against cancer.
