Maduro tackles fraudulent supermarket bosses

caracas - In Venezuela, 34 managers of supermarkets have been arrested because they are suspected of hiding food and increasing prices. That's what President Nicolás Maduro has said.

'There was a group of supermarkets that kept the products hidden from the people and then asked for prices they wanted. There are now 34 managers from large supermarkets behind bars for these crimes ', said Maduro during broadcast on state television. He called on the population to be heard if they are confronted with dishonest prices and if they think they are being robbed.
