new zealand - Passengers and crew of a luxury cruise ship owned by Princess Cruises faced terrifying moments off the coast of New Zealand.

Luxury Cruise Ship in Distress

Passengers and crew onboard a luxury cruise ship owned by Princess Cruises, based in the US, experienced a frightening situation off the coast of New Zealand. The ship, which set sail from Milford Sound near South Island of New Zealand on February 25th, encountered massive waves causing it to tilt 14 degrees. As a result, 16 people were injured, including passengers and crew members.

Video footage shared on social media shows the kitchen staff on the ship holding onto countertops tightly as equipment and tools roll around, trying to maintain their balance. The ship, carrying 3,080 passengers and 1,200 crew members, was on a seven-day journey with ticket prices ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 per person depending on the room size.
