auckland - Qatar Airways has put down a record with the longest non-stop scheduled flight ever. A Boeing 777-200LR of society landed Monday (local time) after a flight of 15 hours and 52 minutes from Auckland Airport (New Zealand). The scheduled about 14,500 kilometers- which departed from Doha- the longest ever, Flightradar24 reports.
The trip takes an hour and ten minutes longer, because of the wind. The record for the longest non-stop scheduled flight was until now the name of Emirates. Flying from Dubai to Auckland. That flight is about 300 kilometers shorter.
Flight QR920 was welcomed in Auckland with a water salute.
