Long traffic jams on roads to ski

World February 10, 2016 00:07

- Dutch departing Saturday skiing, should take into account traffic jams, the Traffic Information Service (VID) warns. Especially in France, Germany and Austria are expected hefty files.

France is forecast for the highways to the winter even a 'Black Saturday'. The VID provides additional problems due to bad weather. There is a lot of rain expected. Especially the roads will be deadlocked from Lyon, with the A40 and A43 traffic jams. On the Dutch main N90 direction Val Thorens the waiting time can be just like last week up to four hours.

In Germany, it is mainly the A7 (Ulm-Fussen) and the road from Munich to Austria to flooding. In Austria departing traffic is established at the Fern Pass (B179).
