Liverpool Agrees Deal for Marc Guéhi from Crystal Palace

Liverpool has successfully negotiated a deal with Crystal Palace to acquire defender Marc Guéhi for £35 million. The 25-year-old player has been given the green light to undergo a medical examination in London after Liverpool's bid was accepted.

Transfer Details

The agreed upon deal includes a five-year contract that will keep Guéhi at Liverpool until 2030. Talks between the two clubs have been ongoing for weeks, with Guéhi having only one year left on his Palace contract.

Palace's Stance

Despite Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner expressing his desire for Guéhi to remain at the club, the defender is set to depart Selhurst Park for Anfield. Glasner emphasized the club's authority in deciding Guéhi's future during a recent news conference.

Guéhi's Background

Having joined Palace from Chelsea in 2021, Guéhi has been a pivotal figure, captaining the team and contributing to their FA Cup victory. With 155 appearances for Palace and 23 senior caps for England, Guéhi brings valuable defensive prowess to Liverpool.
