Lifeline still at sea: 'Many seasick'

World June 27, 2018 06:39

valetta - The Lifeline ship with around 230 picked up migrants on board has still not docked in Malta. The German organization Mission-Lifeline reports that it has not yet received a permit from the Maltese government.

Mission-Lifeline asks Malta whether the ship should be temporarily in a sheltered spot on the coast. ' Many people are seasick because of the strong wind and high waves '', the organization writes on Twitter.

On Tuesday, the Italian government reported that the ship may moor in Malta. A spokesperson for the Maltese government, however, stressed Tuesday that nothing was finally decided, the Times of Malta reported.
