- Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey has completed a season-long loan move to Roma with a potential buy option. Bailey, 28, signed for Roma after making 144 appearances for Villa.

Leon Bailey Joins Roma on Loan from Aston Villa

Aston Villa has officially announced that winger Leon Bailey has made a season-long loan switch to Roma, with a buy option included in the deal. The 28-year-old, who arrived at Villa in 2021 from Bayer Leverkusen, will now be part of the Serie A side that secured a fifth-place finish in the league last season.

Bailey's Villa Career

During his time at Villa, Bailey featured in 144 matches and was a key player for the team. Despite facing limited game time in the previous season due to an injury setback, he played a pivotal role in Villa's journey to the Champions League quarterfinals, notably scoring and assisting in the round-of-16 clash against Club Brugge.

Roma's Summer Signings

Leon Bailey is the second Premier League player to make a move to Roma in the current transfer window, following the transfer of Brighton striker Evan Ferguson earlier. This acquisition adds depth and talent to Roma's squad as they prepare for the upcoming season.
