Lawyer Stormy Daniels: 'Rich Russian paid Trump lawyer'

washington - Donald Trump's lawyer, who would have paid silent money to porn actress Stormy Daniels, may have received half a million dollars from a Russian billionaire in the months after Trump's election as President of America. That is what Michael Avenatti, Daniels' lawyer, claims.

A company of the Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg, which has ties with the Kremlin, according to Avenatti, in the first eight months of last year, 500,000 dollars have transferred to Michael Cohen. How Avenatti comes to that information is not clear.

The New York Times reported last week that Vekselberg was questioned by the team of special prosecutor Robert Mueller. The interview was in the context of the investigation into the alleged Russian interference in the presidential elections in 2016.
