- Legendary basketball player Kobe Bryant's shoes worn when he tore his Achilles tendon in a game in 2013 have been sold for $660,000.

Kobe Bryant's Iconic Shoes Sold at Auction

In a recent auction, the shoes that Kobe Bryant wore when he tore his Achilles tendon in a game in 2013 were sold for a whopping $660,000. The auction house Sotheby's described the shoes as a symbol of one of Kobe's most iconic moments, known as the 'Achilles Game'.

During the game, despite being 34 years old and playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant refused to leave the court after the injury and made two crucial free throws against the Golden State Warriors. This incident has been etched in basketball history as one of Kobe's most memorable moments.

Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in January 2020 in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.
