A knife-wielding individual who attempted to enter the official residence of Belgium's Prime Minister Alexander De Croo has been caught by the police. The Prime Minister confirmed the incident through his official X account, stating that the individual was apprehended due to the effective intervention of the police.

Alexander De Croo emphasized that no one was harmed in the incident and informed that an investigation is underway.

Following the general elections held in Belgium on June 9th, De Croo, who resigned after losing the election, continues to hold office until a new government is formed.
