willem city - 'The message I have for Sint Maarten residents is the following: We realize what happened to you and we will do our best to help anyone who needs help. Trust the help. '

That said King Willem-Alexander Sunday afternoon (local time) on Curacao after his visit to the meteorological service. 'I'm here to first figure out what has happened so far and what coordination means from Curaçao. '

He also advised to go to the hospital to visit those who need medical care and were therefore transferred from Sint Maarten to Curaçao.

After his visit to the meteorological service, he said that no decision has yet been made when visiting Saint Maarten, Saint Eustatius and Saba.

The king also visited the Parera Naval Base. Then he would go to Sint Elisabeth Hospital with the people transferred to Saint Maarten for help from Saint Maarten.

Willem-Alexander landed on Curaçao with Minister Ronald Plasterk (Interior and Kingdom Relations) on Sunday afternoon. On the island, the king received a company from among others the Governor of Curacao, Lucille George-Wout, and the Prime Minister, Eugene Rhuggenaath.
