King Filip to Spa after death agent

- King Filip interrupts his summer vacation for a visit to Spa. In the night from Saturday to Sunday, a policeman was killed in a shooting. Filip goes to Spa on Sunday afternoon with the Minister of the Interior, Jan Jambon.

According to the minister, 'the entire police force in his heart was struck by this tragic event'. Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel also reacted shocked to the incident, for which a Dutchman was arrested. 'An attack on an agent in office is an attack on our democratic society.'

King Filip actually has a few days of vacation. On Friday the court shared a video of a kitesurfing king, with the message 'enjoy the last days of the summer holidays!'. Filip spent part of his holiday in Armenia, where he and his family enjoyed nature, wine and ancient monasteries and churches. His next public commitment is scheduled for Saturday, then Filip opens a new tram line in Brussels.
