ajax, amsterdam, liverpool - Jordan Henderson officially leaves Ajax, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to represent the club. The England midfielder's next destination remains unknown.

Jordan Henderson's Departure from Ajax Confirmed

England midfielder Jordan Henderson has officially parted ways with Ajax, expressing his gratitude for the chance to represent the club. The termination of his contract, which was due to expire in 2026, has been agreed upon by both parties.

End of an Era at Ajax

After bidding farewell to his teammates at the training camp in Zeist, Henderson returned to Liverpool to pay his respects to former teammate Diogo Jota. In a statement, he acknowledged the honor of playing for Ajax and captaining the team, expressing regret for not achieving more success during his time at the club.

Henderson, who joined Ajax in 2024 from Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League, emphasized his appreciation for the club, city of Amsterdam, and its supporters. The midfielder, with 83 caps for England, had successful spells at Liverpool under Jürgen Klopp, winning the Premier League and Champions League titles.

Unconfirmed Next Move

Following his departure from Ajax, Henderson's next move remains uncertain. The 35-year-old has been a key figure in the English national team under manager Thomas Tuchel, receiving praise for his leadership on and off the pitch.

As Henderson plans to offer a more personal thank you to Ajax, his teammates, and the fans in the future, the midfielder's legacy at the club and potential future endeavors are subjects of anticipation among football enthusiasts.
