alexandria - The judge in the trial against Paul Manafort, former campaign president of US President Donald Trump, has received threats. He says he is so worried about the safety of the judges and himself that he has used extra security from American Marshalls.

Judge T. S. Ellis, said in the court in the American city of Alexandria where the members of the jury discussed a judgment for Manafort for the second day. He said that he had received threats, but not from what angle they came and what that was about.

According to the judge, a lot of pressure was put on him to make the names of the jury members public. He did not do this because he is worried about their safety.

Manafort is accused of bank and tax fraud in the first trial as a result of the investigation of the American special prosecutor Robert Mueller. It conducts research into Russian interference in the 2016 American elections.
