A 35-year-old woman, Jordélia Pereira Barbosa, was arrested in Brazil for poisoning Easter eggs and sending them to her ex-family. A 7-year-old boy died after consuming the eggs, while two others are in critical condition.

Poisoning Incident Details:

  • Barbosa bought eggs from a supermarket and injected them with poison.
  • She had the eggs delivered to her ex-boyfriend's new partner, Mirian Lira, with a note saying 'Love, to Mirian Lira. Happy Easter'.
  • Lira shared the eggs with 7-year-old Luis Silva and 13-year-old Evelyn Fernanda. Luis fell ill and passed away the next day.

Arrest and Investigation:

  • Barbosa was arrested while traveling to her hometown after authorities found receipts linking her to the poisoning.
  • Police spoke with Barbosa's ex-boyfriend, who suspected her involvement.
  • Barbosa admitted to buying the chocolates but denied poisoning the eggs.
  • Various items, including wigs, a pair of scissors, cards, a utility knife, and unknown substances, were found in her possession.
