- Sources reveal that Jadon Sancho is close to joining Aston Villa on a season-long loan from Manchester United. The 25-year-old forward's potential move is separate from goalkeeper negotiations.

Jadon Sancho Close to Loan Move to Aston Villa

Sources have disclosed that Jadon Sancho is on the brink of completing a season-long loan switch from Manchester United to Aston Villa. The agreement with Villa is distinct from talks concerning goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

Background and Contract Status

The 25-year-old, who could become a free agent next summer, has not played for United since August 2023 due to a fallout with former manager Erik ten Hag. Despite the possibility of becoming a free agent, United retain an option to extend his contract until 2027.

Recent Loan Spells and Transfer Speculations

Sancho had a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund in the 2023-24 season, contributing to the team's journey to the Champions League final. After returning to United, he briefly rejoined the first-team squad before being loaned to Chelsea last season. Although he featured prominently for Chelsea, the move did not materialize permanently, leading to a penalty payment from Chelsea to United.

The England international, previously linked with Roma and Juventus, seems poised to continue his career in the Premier League with Aston Villa.
