Italian Coast Guard rescues 1500 migrants

rome - In the Mediterranean, according to the Italian coastguard, about 1,500 migrants have been rescued during the last day. On Thursday, another 2,300 people were rescued who wanted to make the transition from Africa to Europe.

The migrants were rescued on Friday in 13 different rescue operations. Italy is most confronted with migrants from Libya, mostly from Libya.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, 55,000 immigrants from Europe reached 83 percent in Italy. The Italians themselves say that the number of migrants arrived at them is 35 percent higher this year
