Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Condemns Terrorist Attack in Washington D.C.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has labeled the perpetrator of the shooting that resulted in the deaths of two Israelis in Washington D.C. as a 'terrorist with one goal: killing Jews'.

Victims Identified

The victims, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, a couple working for the Israeli embassy in Washington D.C., were fatally shot near the Capital Jewish Museum. The suspect, Elias Rodriguez, 31, from Chicago, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with double murder.

Political Motivation

Rodriguez allegedly shouted 'Free Palestine' during his arrest and claimed he acted in support of Palestine and Gaza. Netanyahu likened this to previous extremist incidents, referencing a Hamas attack on Israel in 2023.

Strong Condemnation

Netanyahu strongly condemned the attack, equating 'Free Palestine' with 'Heil Hitler' and accusing supporters of a two-state solution of rewarding killers. He emphasized the historical ties of the Jewish people to Israel and criticized those siding with the perpetrators.
