israel, lebanon, negev prison, nafha camp, baalbek - The Israeli army has announced a series of attacks on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, violating the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on November 27, 2024.

The Israeli army has announced a series of attacks on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, stating that the attacks were based on intelligence to prevent Hezbollah from regaining strength in Lebanon. The targets included a rocket launching site, a military field, and routes used by Hezbollah for arms smuggling along the Syria-Lebanon border.

The IDF stated that the threats posed by the targets to the internal front of Israel and IDF units were presented to the ceasefire monitoring mechanism between Israel and Lebanon before the attacks.

On the other hand, the Israeli military bombed the vicinity of the Cinta town near Baalbek in east Lebanon. The NNA news agency highlighted the ongoing violations of the ceasefire by the Israeli army as of November 27, 2024.

In a joint statement from the Prisoners and Liberated Persons Committee affiliated with the PLO and the Palestinian Prisoners Society, the testimonies of 23 Palestinians visited between January 6-8, 2025, at Negev Prison and Nafha Camp were presented. The statement detailed the abuse, mistreatment, hunger, medical neglect, severe beatings, and pressure experienced by Palestinians in Israeli prisons, with reports of scabies outbreaks among inmates.
